The E8 is the model where Jura starts counting. The burrs are a class above the mass-market brands, and the difference is mostly audible and tasteable on darker roasts.
Whether that justifies the sum depends on how much you drink. At two cups a day a Philips 3300 is the better buy. At six, with milk, the E8 earns it back in build quality and in a milk system that is not blocked after two years.
Who for: Heavy drinkers who want to keep a machine for ten years.
