The EQ.6 is the generation below the EQ.500 and still widely sold, usually a few hundred euros cheaper. Milk hose into a carafe, oneTouch for cappuccino, and the same ceramic burrs.
What you give up is mainly the screen and the automatic rinse programme of the newer range. That last one is no detail: a milk system you have to remember to clean yourself is the system that eventually gives up.
Who for: Anyone who wants Siemens build quality at mass-market money.
