Limescale is what most machines die of, and vinegar attacks the seals. A liquid descaler declared suitable for espresso machines does the same job as the maker’s own branded fluid, usually for less.

Espresso machines drop hardest around Black Friday and in the weeks before Christmas. Leave your email address and pick below what you want to hear about.
The Z10 of the EC generation, model year 2026 by Jura’s page, has the menu of the Z10 (EB): 51 drinks, hot, cold and with chocolate milk foam, the same grinder and a 2.4-litre tank. The biggest difference in Jura’s table is the touchscreen: 5.0 inches instead of 4.3.
Jura’s product page also makes it taller, but the manual gives the EB’s height, so no height is given here. The price difference mainly buys the bigger screen.
Who for: Anyone who wants the Z10 with the biggest screen.
This is what we know for certain. Dimensions and capacities the manufacturer or the shop does not state are left out rather than estimated. A measurement or a tank volume that is not there is one we do not have.
A worked example, not a specification: 2 cups a day (730 a year), the intervals from the maker's manual, with the water filter the maker recommends, and the lowest price in our catalog today.
We cannot price anything for this machine: what the maker requires is not in our catalog, or the maker gives no interval.
How often you descale depends on your water hardness. Where the maker gives no interval for it, we leave it out rather than estimate it.
6.57 kilos a year at 9 grams a cup: €117.80 with the cheapest kilo in our catalog, €445.45 with the dearest.

Lavazza
€24.95per kilo
Price verdict from 29 Oct€24.95 · 1 kg bag
All arabica, and so softer and more acidic than the blends carrying robusta. Anyone who finds espresso too harsh often starts here.

Lavazza
€24.99per kilo
Price verdict from 29 Oct€24.99 · 1 kg bag
All arabica as well, like the Oro. The middle path between the soft arabica blends and the firm bar blends.

De Koffiejongens
€29.99per kilo
Price verdict from 29 Oct€29.99 · 1 kg bag
Certified organic and medium roasted. Compare the price per kilo with the branded blends: organic need not cost more.

illy
€51.80per kilo
Price verdict from 29 Oct€12.95 · 250 g tin
A blend of nine arabicas, and per kilo a bean from the top end. The 250 g tin looks cheap and per kilo is nothing of the sort.
