The ECF02 is a portafilter machine in the fifties jacket SMEG fits to an entire kitchen. Technically it sits near De'Longhi's entry models: thermoblock, fifteen bar, baskets that regulate the pressure for you.
So what you are paying for is form, and that is a legitimate reason — this is an appliance that lives permanently on the counter. Just know that the difference against a Dedica does not end up in the cup.
Who for: Anyone buying the machine as a kitchen object too, and honest about it.
